Start by Contacting Us
The first step of the repair process is to contact us by phone (413-325-6421), email (repair@squeezeboxgarage.com), or our contact page. Tell us all about your instrument and what repairs you need.
If you are local and want to drop off your instrument, we can arrange a time.
If you need to ship your instrument, follow the instructions below.
Estimates
We can only give ball-park estimates over the phone. For an accurate evaluation of an instrument's condition, we need to have it in hand. Once we have examined the instrument we will contact you with an estimate . We can then discuss various options for the repair.
The standard fee for an evaluation/estimate is $25. However, this fee is waived if we end up proceeding with the repair.
PLEASE do not send your instrument without contacting us first.

Shipping Instructions
You may ship your instrument to us via the US Postal Service, UPS, FedEx, or another service. We generally use USPS for return shipping.
To protect your instrument, make sure it is packed well. For concertinas with hard cases, we recommend sending them in their case. Add material inside the case as needed so the instrument does not shift around. This is very important. You should not be able to feel the instrument move around inside the case when you give it a good shake. Then pack the case in a larger box with an inch or two of packing material (e.g., packing peanuts or bubble wrap) around all sides.
For larger instruments, we recommend sending them without their case, but thoroughly encased in bubble wrap or similar packing material. If you use packing peanuts, put the instrument in a plastic bag first. You should have 2 - 3 inches of material all around the instrument. PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE YOU SHIP.
